Make the colors work
Terracotta & Ink anchors a light editorial page with a deeper clay action. Pacific Orange keeps its structure blue and puts orange in the accent. A travel site with colorful photography may benefit from the second approach because navigation remains visually stable.
A pale peach or apricot button may need dark text. The studio derives the stronger black or white label and reports the resulting pair. Do not assume an orange fill is dark enough simply because it looks saturated beside a neutral background.
An orange accent can support an autumn campaign without changing every component. Keep the token’s role name, test the new pair, and retain the earlier version for comparison. Use an explicit warning label wherever orange or amber indicates a state.
