A practical place
for color.

Color Palettes is an independent collection of original color combinations for websites, with tools to turn inspiration into usable roles.

What you will find here

Twelve curated starting points, practical guides, and a color-system studio with paired light/dark themes, component checks, reversible repairs, and reusable exports. The combinations and their names were created for this site. They are not sampled from competitor libraries and do not represent paint products, official brand colors, or an industry color standard.

You can use the palette hex values and exported CSS or JSON in personal and commercial projects without attribution. The guides are design guidance, not a claim of certified accessibility or firsthand user research.

How the checks work

Contrast values are calculated from the WCAG 2.2 sRGB relative-luminance formula. Automated checks cover known values, thresholds, parsing, repairs, and the curated pairs. We compare unrounded values and show the applicable text result. Read the formula, limitations, and W3C sources.

A passing pair does not certify a whole design. Check your actual components, font sizes, keyboard use, focus, and information conveyed by color.

Images and editorial approach

The paper color study is an original AI-generated creative illustration. It is inspiration, not a calibrated color sample or a photograph documenting a real-world product. The on-page hex values and CSS determine the tool’s actual colors. Content is AI-assisted and checked against the linked primary sources; no professional credentials, testimonials, or rankings are claimed.

Privacy, plainly

The studio calculations run in your browser. There is no account, submission form, advertising, or analytics script. The site does not set application cookies or save palettes to browser storage. Undo history and saved comparisons live only in the current tab; export a project or copy a share link to keep it. Copy actions use the clipboard only when you request them; downloads create a file locally.

New studio share links contain both themes and locks in the URL fragment after #. Browsers do not send that fragment in HTTP requests, but anyone with the complete link can read the project. The homepage’s brand-color form and older five-color links use query parameters; those values are sent to the hosting service in the page request. Use a new fragment-based share link to share a complete project without sending its colors in that HTTP request. Hostinger may process standard access and security logs, including request details and IP addresses, under its own policies. External source links take you to sites with their own privacy practices.

Keeping it useful

The initial collection and source review are dated 26 September 2026. New content should add a distinct use case or worked example. We do not claim measured search volume, guaranteed rankings, or traffic results.
