Make the colors work
Walnut Canvas and Clay Eucalyptus use related warm surfaces but still reserve a much darker text role. Do not make every part of the interface a similar mid-tone brown. A clear page, supporting surface and reading color give the material-inspired accents room to work.
A warm palette beside cool architectural photography produces a different result from the same palette beside food imagery. Compare representative images at realistic sizes. Color names here are descriptive; they are not calibrated samples of wood, clay or stone.
A copper highlight may be effective in a large illustration yet insufficient as a small link. Use the contrast table and preserve the visual distinction between a decorative accent and an interactive control.
