Make the colors work

More than a set of swatches.

Use the forest as a reference

Forest Floor gives the reading surface enough light for longer copy. Pine Fog adds a more subdued atmosphere. Compare both with real foliage photographs rather than assuming all greens will sit comfortably together.

Add a warm point of focus

A little copper or gold can distinguish a call to action from the green surroundings. Check the actual button label and the control boundary; a warm hue alone does not make an action obvious.

Try it on a real task

Try the same forest palette on a light editorial page and a dark product page. Export the two themes with the same role names, while allowing the values to adapt to the different surfaces.
