Make the colors work
Lemon Linen has a yellower surface than Ivory Charcoal. Place each behind a real paragraph and beside a white image border to see that difference. Use one base temperature consistently across long pages.
Cream and white may look distinct as large swatches but merge at a narrow field boundary. Check fields where the boundary communicates the input area. Decorative card edges can be quieter when spacing already provides structure.
Open the contrast checker with your reading color and the chosen cream surface. If the cream is a translucent overlay, enter the opacity and underlying canvas too; a check against plain white would describe a different pair.
