Make the colors work
Powder Ink already has pale surfaces and a dark anchor. Keep generous space around a heading instead of making the text itself faint. A sky-inspired page can still have strong small labels.
A white photograph edge can disappear on an almost-white blue surface. Separate imagery with deliberate spacing or a subtle frame where it helps. Check meaningful input boundaries independently of decorative image edges.
Try a photograph with a nearly white sky next to a pale page. Compare a thin frame, extra whitespace and a contrasting caption panel. Choose the least visually busy treatment that still separates the image and its controls.
